July holding strong with great fishing
Cold water releases have been implemented to a maximum release of 1,500 CFS out of the Cannonsville Reservoir. This is providing cold clear water all the way down through Narrowsburg. Walleye, Bass, and Trout are all fishing well right now.
July continues with great fishing
Cold water releases have been increased throughout the month of July so far. These cold temperatures are keeping the trout of our Upper Delaware river active.
1st week of July
This first week of July has brought rain and high water. The reservoir's of our East and West branches of the Delaware are both spilling at over capacity. This high water yields quality subsurface trout fishing on only a few sections of river. The river is high and muddy and needs to settle down a bit to restore quality summer bass fishing and moderate flows. The days we have been on the water recently have brought beautiful trout to the net. Book a trip today!
Second Half of June, Lotsa Fish!
The second half of June has brought some great fishing! The releases were increased from the Cannonsville dam, and water is flowing cold through Lordville, NY. Trout fishing has been on fire. Early mornings have been great for subsurface fishing, and with the middle afternoon bug hatches fish are opportune to be taken on the fly. Schedule your July or August trip today! Smallmouth Bass fishing in the evenings will be great throughout the summer! As well as weather permitting trout target float trips. Book today!

May Fishing!
The Month of May has been great fishing, low flows and varied water temperatures, have the fish a little out of whack, but the river temperatures are restoring order, and the fish seem happy and active. Here are Photos from our past week of fishing!
Shad fishing has been great!
The upper Delaware river has been at record high temperatures, and record low flows this May. The FFMP (Flexible Flow Management Plan) implemented on our upper Delaware River needs to be revised. With full reservoirs of water, the Delaware river needs some cold water to be released out of our dams. This cold water will help sustain our trout habitat, and keep our usual spring patterns in order. However despite these unusual flows and temperatures, Sweetwater Guide Service has still been finding some healthy fish in the Delaware. The weather is forecasted to get colder and this should help our water temperatures.
As you will see here, the Shad run is in full swing here on the Upper Delaware, the American Shad is a great fun to fight fish into the boat. Come join us for a Shad fishing trip anytime in the next 4 weeks!
The Shad are here!
The past few days have brought warm temperatures, sunny skies, and dropping water levels. The fishing has remained quite good with water temperatures hovering around 50 degrees through most of the upper Delaware River system. Multiple trout have been boated every day, as well as Shad on the lower sections of river. Here are some photos from our past few trips!
Update from the Past few days!
